Terry Toedtemeier 1947-2008
With deep sadness we announce that Terry Toedtemeier, Curator of Photography at the Portland Art Museum, passed away on Dec. 10, 2008, suddenly from heart failure. He was a special friend to us at Cirrus, an invaluable resource and an unbounding joy to work with, as he was for many in Portland. Terry was a completely unique individual, a champion for photography in all of its forms, and a deeply sensitive and intelligent man. Those who knew him loved his excitable nature and wonderful, wacky sense of humor. We have been pleased and honored to work with him producing fine prints of his personal work, and also in collaborating on Wild Beauty, the current exhibit at the Museum and the recently published book by the same name. He is irreplaceable and will be greatly missed.
